Students will have 10 new course offerings to choose from when fall semester classes begin on Sept. 10 at the Newark School of the Arts.
The school has expanded its roster to include several new dance and visual arts classes. Students interested in the visual arts can now learn clay sculpture, cartooning and urban digital photography, among other new skills. Student dancers now have access to new offerings in all disciplines and skill levels.
"We've also increased the amount of options available for enrollment," said Newark School of the Arts Executive Director Dara Falco. "We're doing everything we can to make the Newark School of the Arts the most accessible, most complete center for arts education in New Jersey."
Students can now enroll online by visiting www.newarkschoolofthearts.org or over the phone by calling the school at (973) 642-0133.
The Newark School of the Arts boasts a newly-renovated student lounge that will serve as gallery and reception space. A tile-floor and superfluous wall were removed, which opened up floor space and created an art-adorned space that is an architectural match to the rest of the facility.
As always, the Newark School of the Arts will offer training in the visual and performing arts to all interested students, regardless of age, talent or financial resources. The school provides financial aid to all students who demonstrate need. Classes are also available for individuals with disabilities.
