Calling all dancers, actors and visual artists! Newark School of the Arts will host open auditions for "Mufaro's Beautiful Daughters" beginning August 16.
Dance auditions will take place August 16 and August 24 at 5 p.m. Drama auditions will be held on August 18 at 5 p.m. Artist portfolio reviews will be held on August 18 at 5:45 p.m. Artists attending the portfolio review are asked to bring 10-12 pieces of drawing, painting or sculpture with them. All auditions and portfolio reviews will take place at Newark School of the Arts, 89 Lincoln Park in Newark.
"Mufaro's Beautiful Daughters" is the story of two beautiful women, with drastically different personalities, who go before the king to see which of them will be chosen to be his wife. Students selected for the 34-week program must register for 2010-2011 classes at Newark School of the Arts. Registration for fall classes begins the third week of August.
