999 Or 666 - Is Cain Able?

marvinwolf1Say what you will about him, Herman Cain is the only GOP candidate who has a simple plan to fix our problems. I’m not saying it will work; just that he has a simple plan. This means that rather than just being anti-Obama, he is pro-something, which makes him stand out from the rest of the has-beens and never-will-be’s. His plan has a catchy title - the 999 plan. It would make sense that a successful CEO of a large pizza chain, Godfather Pizza, knows how to market himself. Whether a presidential candidate wants his name associated with The Godfather and the organized crime connotations that come with it is another story.

Is 999 an offer you can’t refuse? Let’s analyze. Under the plan, all personal income would be subject to a flat 9% tax. Corporate income would also be taxed at 9%. The national sales tax would go up to 9%. Sounds simple. Romney also has a plan - 160 pages worth - but can you trust a solution you can’t fit into a pizza box?

What are the negatives? Well, as Michele Bachmann stated, “999 is just 666 upside down.” You just can’t fight with that religious logic. Also, deductions are gone, except for charitable giving. As a Tea Party Republican, Cain leans very heavily on religion, but so did Michael Corleone, and we see how that turned out. Payroll taxes disappear and so would employee benefits - little things like Social Security and Medicare. The plan does not eliminate state sales tax, so the combined tax with New Jersey would be 16% every time you buy a Coke. Also, some municipalities could add their own local sales tax. Add in a 20% tip and it gets pretty expensive to eat out, although it would certainly help Godfather’s Pizza’s take-out business. Ah, ha. So that’s why under the proposed plan, no one would be allowed to order pizza from Domino’s. This is what happens when a pizza maker formulates your tax code.

There is one major competing plan - the 99% plan. The 99 percent movement also believes in tax reform; however, they want to achieve it mostly by protesting on Wall Street and getting rid of Republicans like Herman Cain. Their 99 stands for the 99% of Americans getting screwed by the other 1%, and the 99 weeks of unemployment insurance that have run out for many protestors.

Only time will tell if Don Herman is a man of honor, or if he will turn out to be the Capo di Tutti Crappo. But for now, 9-9-9 sounds like a lot of cheese on a thin crust.

Thank you! 666 all the way!

As a black woman, I am offended that the "powers that were" consider black americans ignorant enough to propose Herman Cain as an alternate evil. Obama was the first black nominated candidate for president, now all of a sudden the Republican party is planning to have one also??? Herman Cain is lying when he states that race does not matter. He knows that it matters and it is his campaign's intention to cause dissension amongst black voters to tip the scales.
Sorry guys, black people aren't that stupid, (especially now-a-days, with books and all smilies/smiley.gif . And even if we were that retarded, do you think that with all of the phenomenons taking place these days, that "Cain's" agenda would be permitted to transpire by the ULTIMATE authority? One's entrance and exit date is not by coincidence (Man cannot manipulate that).
I've learned in my life that one's current situation are based on previous decisions rather than the choices of the present. I believe the state of the US economy follows the same premise. Unfortunately, our nation is collectively being forced to reap what our leaders have sown. I know that God has made a way out of no way for us all. My GOD's Mercy is great. I take this opportunity to speak God's peace and calm into the lives of all people. Where there is a will, there is a way.
