Hello Readers,
I believe that President Obama is vulnerable in the upcoming election in 2012. My reasoning is based on the facts of the U.S. census bureau and my assessment. There are 137 million registered voters, with 72 million democratic voters and 55 million republican voters. There are 42 million registered voters who are independent. In the last election Obama received the majority of the democratic vote, which includes Hispanic voters. This time, Obama will not receive the same support from Hispanic voters he received in 2008. Out of roughly 11 million Hispanic voters, the votes will split. Independents will vote for the Republican candidate against Obama. Right now, this is an anti-Obama era. In the last election, the majority of independent voters, especially youngsters, voted for Obama. Due to the rough economy and high rate of unemployment, this time Obama will not receive the same support from the young generation and will be divided more towards the republican candidate. Also, if Obama loses the election, the minority will suffer in day-to-day life, and it will be a while before another minority candidate gets elected to the highest post in the United States. If my presumption is true, Obama is vulnerable.
As Obama supporters, we have to keep Obama in power. We all have to work hard and Obama should learn how to support real people…the working middle class and working poor class. Before we give Obama our support, we want to know from Obama whether he will work for the working middle and poor class, or just make another promise and turn his back and support his rich friends.
New Jersey Governor Christie has received 1.8 million dollars, where it seems that only his allies applied for and received a grant for 1.8 million dollars from Homeland Security. The majority of the applicants that received grants have a Jewish affiliation. The power and money can change the world. The U.S. is giving 3 billion dollars to Israel just in military aid, and 5 to 6 billion dollars in another way, helping Israel stay powerful in the Middle East. Yes, for geographical reasons, it is necessary that we have one ally in that region, but why to give more money in the United States?
The eighth republican presidential debate was held in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 18, 2011. Herman Cain was attacked by his republican peers. His 9-9-9 plan is a simple plan, but gives more breaks to the wealthy. Under his plan, the middle class and working class pays more money in comparison to the rich class, who would save more money. It is totally the opposite of President Obama’s proposal of rich people’s extra taxes. The government should cut the loopholes and take off all deductions, except primary residence and non-profit organization charitable contributions. However, they should have restrictions in the non-profit organization category that any executive or employee of the non-profit organization should not be allowed to take a salary of more than 200,000 a year or 10% to 15% of the funds collected during the year, plus maximum of 10% fringe benefits per year. This will eliminate those who collect millions and distribute millions amongst their contacts. We do need a change in our tax system, but we cannot bring health care reform and tax change at the same time. We have to wait four to five years and let the health care reform be established and then bring the tax reform.
The Wall Street protestors are a frustrated group of Americans who have been exploited for decades, as the powerful and rich are hurting the working class. President Obama said, “These days, a lot of folks who are doing the right thing aren’t rewarded, and a lot of folks who aren’t doing the right thing are rewarded.” Obama was referring to the Wall Street Protest. I agree with President Obama. Even in the local governments, those who are doing right thing have to struggle a lot, and those who are doing the wrong things are being appreciated and getting paid well.
Have a wonderful day. I’ll talk to you next week.
