Perhaps the most important feature is the ability to customize the layout to suit your interests and needs. Your settings will be saved by cookies so the next time you visit the site, it will look exactly as you last left it. To reset the page to its default mode, just scroll down to the bottom and hit the Reset User Settings button on the bottom right.
You will notice on each of the bars on the section headers three icons: a wrench, perpindicular lines with four arrows and a down arrow.
The wrench will open a window that will allow you to select what sections you want to show, whether you want to show an image, how many introductory items you want to show, and how many link items you want to show.
If you place your cursor over the perpindicular lines with the four arrows, you can move your bar to another location. Let's say you live in East Orange and are really interested in seeing news from your hometown first, rather than news from Newark. Just place your cursor over the button, click and move the bar to the top.
The down arrow will collapse the section heading. Click the up arrow to expand it.
