County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo will announce the results of the 2010 Essex County Deer Management Program at noon on Monday, March 1 at the Essex County Satellite Office.

Started three years ago, the program has been expanded to include Essex County South Mountain Reservation, Essex County Eagle Rock Reservation and Essex County Hilltop Reservation.

This program is necessary to reduce the deer population as a first step toward preserving the native plant and wildlife in the County's open spaces.
