Essex County's Vocational Technical Schools will hold two testing sessions for eighth graders seeking admission into its four high schools. The first session will be administered on Saturday, January 23 beginning at 8 a.m. The second session will be on Saturday, February 27, also at 8 a.m.
The testing will be done at each of the Essex County Vocational-Technical Schools' four campuses: Newark Tech at 91 West Market Street in Newark, North 13th Street Tech at 300 North 13th Street in Newark, Bloomfield Tech at 209 Franklin Street in Bloomfield, and West Caldwell Tech at 620 Passaic Ave. in West Caldwell.
Prior to taking the placement test, eighth-grade students must pick up an application at any of the four campuses and return the completed application in order to take the test. Check in for the test begins at 8 a.m. at each campus and will be completed by 12 Noon. The test is for eighth-grade students residing in Essex County who will be starting high school in Fall 2010.
