Raceway Petroleum of Piscataway, N.J. announced the opening of a Dunkin' Donuts location in its North Brunswick Racemart food store, located at 2715 Route 1 South.
"Raceway is pleased to cross-market with such a well-established national company to offer Dunkin' Donuts brand coffee, donuts and sandwiches to our Raceway gasoline and Racemart food store customers," said Nicholas Kambitsis, president & CEO of Raceway Petroleum of Piscataway. "We look forward to a long-term relationship between the two companies."
Kambitsis noted Dunkin' Donuts is one of the largest chains of coffee, donuts and bagel shops, with more than 6,000 locations in the United States. This is the first agreement between Raceway Petroleum and the franchise.
While Raceway Petroleum is expanding its offers of food, beverages and other convenience items for its customers, providing quality fuels and service to motorists at a low price will continue to be its core business.
The industry trend has been moving toward co-branding at service stations, according to Kambitsis, who said Raceway/Racemart is in the process of opening similar operations at a number of other locations.
"People today like to multi-task," Kambitsis said. "If they can get their coffee or a quick meal while they fill their gas tank, it makes their day a little easier. But reasonable prices on our quality gasoline will always be the primary reason people come to Raceway."
