Verizon New Jersey to Host Breakfast as Part of New Jersey Chamber of Commerce’s Diamond Anniversary ‘Walk to Washington’

vzNEWARK, N.J. – To commemorate the diamond anniversary of the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce's annual Walk to Washington, Verizon New Jersey will host a chamber breakfast at the Hilton Newark Gateway on Thursday (Jan. 26) and demonstrate the company's newest home monitoring and control services.

After the breakfast, chamber members will board a special Amtrak charter train in Newark to travel to Washington, D.C. During the trip, members will network with business executives and community leaders, and then dine Thursday evening at the Marriott Wardman Park with New Jersey's Congressional delegation, state legislators, and Gov. Chris Christie and members of his cabinet.

During the breakfast, Verizon representatives will demonstrate the company's Home Monitoring and Control service, which is designed to take advantage of high-speed broadband connections and to show how Verizon is enabling the borderless lifestyle, where customers can more easily manage their digital lives wherever they are.
Verizon Home Monitoring and Control lets customers self-monitor and control their home environment anytime, virtually anywhere. Customers can customize their system –selecting from a range of indoor/outdoor cameras; door locks; door, window and appliance sensors; smart thermostats and energy readers – to best meet their needs.
