Raceway Petroleum CEO helps raise money for children with cancer

racewayNicholas Kambitsis, president & CEO of Raceway Petroleum of Piscataway, may not know you, but he wants you to help him raise money for cancer.

Kambitsis is spreading the word that he is raising money for children with cancer and blood disorders by participating in the 2010 Spring Lake 5 Mile Run on Saturday, May 29. For every dollar that he can raise, his company will provide a match up to $10,000.

He is offering an interesting proposition:

"I have never run more than two miles at one time," Kambitsis admits. "If I can't break 60 minutes, I'll match 100 percent of what I raise, 50 percent if I can't break 50 minutes, 25 percent if I live and I complete the race under 50 minutes," Kambitsis said.

"There's a very good chance that whatever you can give will be doubled," he added. "I'll try to finish under 60 minutes, but we shall see."

Kambitsis said donations will benefits the Embrace Kids Foundation, a New Brunswick-based non-profit organization committed to enhancing the quality of life for children with cancer and blood disorders.

Those interested in donating as part of Raceway Petroleum's matching program can donate via online at www.firstgiving.com/nickkambitsis.
